The 2025 in-person 10-mile and 7k races
Sunday, April 27, 2025
with a ‘self-timed/run at your convenience’ option available

We are excited to present the 17th running of the Philosopher’s Way Trail Runs at Carolina North Forest in Chapel Hill, NC!

If you prefer to run or walk the course on your own, the courses will be open Sunday, April 27th through Sunday, May 4th. For those not running the in-person event, the courses will be marked, and we invite registrants to run or walk anytime during park hours (8:00 am to 6:00 pm). In the event of single-track closures, there will be courses marked on the Forest’s gravel roads.

Thanks to Little River Regional Park and our timing team at Bull City Running, Little River Trail Runs 7k and 10 mile are rescheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025. We will be in touch with your options concerning the race within the next couple of days, including ways to get your shirt if you can’t make it to the new date. But for now mark 2/15 on your calendar and stay tuned!

We are excited to present the 16th running of the Philosopher’s Way Trail Runs at Carolina North Forest in Chapel Hill, NC!

If you prefer to run or walk the course on your own, the courses will be open Sunday, April 28th through Sunday, May 5th. For those not running the in-person event, the courses will be marked, and we invite registrants to run or walk anytime during park hours (8:00 am to 6:00 pm). We’ll provide information on how to upload evidence of your run, and we will do random drawings for prizes (from our amazing sponsors) from among all runners who upload their results. In the event of single-track closures, there will be courses marked on the Forest’s gravel roads.
